My birthday was this past Friday...
We decided to head up to Sean's moms' house for an extended weekend (Wed night until Saturday) ..once we left Vickies, we headed to Sacramento for my brother-in-law's 40th Bday party and stayed there until Sunday! We had a really great time up in the mountains! Shad and Kaihla had a great time too...On my Birthday, Sean and I went out on a quad ride. The paths were so beautiful, and the weather was really nice too. After that we drove into town to have dinner and ice cream!

My birthday dinner, we went to Red Robin (had a super yummy burger with onion fries on the bottom!...mmmmm fattening ...Kaihla had fun, and was SO well behaved in the restaurant!
Shad had his first taste of soda! Of course he loved it..let's just not make this a habit!
Sean and his mom went on a quad ride the first day we were there....the end of summer= really dusty trails!! They got SO dirty, I had to take a picture! It looks like Sean has a beard, and Vickie's hair...well it just speaks for itself!
It looked like so much fun, Sean and I went for a ride...and again, thru the dust, came back pretty dirty!

These got a little out of order, but after we left Vickies we went to my Dad's house to celebrate my brother-in-law's 40th Birthday. Kaihla and Papa had fun, but Shad, as usual, had the best time making pancakes in the morning with Papa..
Kaihla on Nana's quad! She loved, loved the quads. When you turned it on she would run up to you and say up, go. Once she got used to the quad I would try holding on to her, but she kept pushing my arm away, she didn't want to hold on at all...totally fearless this kid! Shad also loved them..we made many, many laps around her property!

Shad loved being around Nana so much! We had a great time, and a wonderful, relaxing Birthday weekend!

Hey! What's wrong with my hair? I spent HOURS on it! Up here in the forest we call that 'Helmet hair'. It takes hours of quadding to get that style. It's all the rage up here.

First soda? Are you kidding me? I have been giving Shad soda since he was on the bottle. He likes Autie's Pepsi.
